Role Description The Industrial Sales Representative is a commission-based role responsible for driving revenue growth within the mining and other industries, while also identifying and developing additional market opportunities.
This position requires a strong mechanical background, the ability to build long-term relationships, and a proactive approach to business development. The role involves significant travel and direct engagement with customers, architects, and distribution partners.
Compensation & Travel
Compensation: Commission-based
Travel: Up to 50%, primarily regional with some extended trips as required
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share within the mining industries
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in related industrial markets
Actively reach out to existing and prospective customers through calls, visits, and presentations
Build and maintain relationships with:
End users and facility operators
Architects and engineering firms
Potential and existing distributors and channel partners
Provide technical product guidance using mechanical knowledge to recommend appropriate solutions
Conduct site visits to understand customer needs and application requirements
Prepare sales presentations
Collaborate with internal teams to support project specifications and customer success
Track sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in industrial or technical sales
Strong mechanical background with the ability to understand and explain technical products and systems
Experience selling into mining or heavy industrial environments preferred
Demonstrated success in a commission-based or performance-driven sales role
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently and manage a large territory
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with industrial project specification processes
Background working with architects, engineers, or General Contractors
CRM experience and strong organizational skills
