Position Description:

NTS is seeking a Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineer with 5+ years’ relevant experience.
Primary accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparation of permit applications and other related documents;
• Regulatory analysis and compliance for a variety of clients;
• Assist and support Project Managers with project planning and permitting;
• Administer and support field work programs to allow and improve work flow efficiencies;
• Maintain defensible field instrument calibration and service documentation;
• Perform field work;
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients and NTS staff;
• Maintain accurate day timer, field log books, and other time records as required to satisfy all recordkeeping requirements; and
• Support the NTS safety program through safe work practices, policy adherence and hazard reporting, and wearing appropriate PPE.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, chemical, or environmental engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in environmental engineering, permitting, or compliance.
• Familiarity with permitting, environmental compliance, and water resource investigation.
• Familiarity with the design, operation, and maintenance of water treatment, waste containment, and other environmental control systems.
• Knowledge of Federal and State regulatory guidelines.
• Must be highly detail-oriented.
• Strong desire for continued learning and professional growth.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all types of conditions as needed.
• Valid driver’s license.
