Iron Mining Association of MN to build #MnMined pride at State Fair The Iron Mining Association of Minnesota (IMA) is returning to the Great Minnesota Get-Together with its #MnMined message. The trade association, which represents the iron mines and more than 150 companies who sell goods and services to the mines, will be at Dan Patch Park Friday September 1st for MPR Day. “What better place to celebrate one of Minnesota’s greatest and longest-standing industries than the State Fair,” said IMA President Kelsey Johnson. The association brought the #MnMined message to MPR Day at the State Fair last year, and two fairgoers won a Fall color vacation on the Iron Range – including private mine tours. “So many people with ties to the Range were so happy to see our area and our industry represented at the fair,” Johnson said. Last year’s IMA volunteers’ #MnMined shirts were so popular with the crowd, the association will be handing them out this year – along with magnets, stainless steel mugs, Frisbees, and more. The prizes can be won by spinning a wheel at the #MnMined booth, and all include the words: “dedicated, responsible, innovative.” “Minnesotans should be proud to know our state is home to the safest, cleanest iron mines in the entire world,” Johnson said. “The State Fair gives us a chance to celebrate this great industry that built and continues to build our great nation with a statewide audience. This is also a chance for Minnesotans to take something home to share their pride.” Posted: Aug 25th, 2017

Iron Mining Association of MN to build #MnMined pride at State Fair

The Iron Mining Association of Minnesota (IMA) is returning to the Great Minnesota Get-Together with its #MnMined message.
