IMA at the State Fair

IMA is returning to the Minnesota State Fair for our third year, and we’re excited to continue building a strong presence. In partnership with U.S. Steel, Komatsu, and Kivi Bros Trucking, we’ll once again feature the mining dipper.

We invite members to Adopt a Day and volunteer at the booth. This is a great opportunity for your team to connect with thousands of fairgoers and highlight support for Minnesota’s mining industry.

Whether your team prefers morning or evening shifts, your presence makes a meaningful impact. Rally your coworkers and help us make our iron mining presence at the fair the strongest yet.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Booth Coverage — Aside from opening day, when early setup support is needed, booth coverage is required from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.
• Minimum Staffing — At least four volunteers must be present at all times.
• Admission Tickets — Volunteers must purchase their own admission tickets. Purchase your tickets here.

VOLUNTEER SHIFTS:

Opening Day — August 29
AM Shift: 6 a.m. – 3 p.m.
PM Shift: 3 p.m. – 9 p.m.

August 30 – September 3
AM Shift: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
PM Shift: 3 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Closing Day — September 4
AM Shift: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
PM Shift: 3 p.m. – 10 p.m.
